Monitoring & Support

Network Monitoring

Visibility across cloud networking, VPNs, interconnects and the endpoints your customers depend on.

Overview

Hybrid environments put a great deal of weight on links that are invisible until they fail: site-to-site VPNs, direct interconnects, DNS, and certificates that expire on a Saturday. These are among the cheapest things to monitor and the most disruptive to lose.

We instrument connectivity and the paths that carry real traffic, and add synthetic checks from New Zealand so you learn about an outage before your customers describe it to you.

What you get

Links watched continuously

VPN tunnels, interconnects and peering monitored for availability, latency and packet loss.

Synthetic checks locally

Probes from New Zealand locations testing the journeys your customers actually take.

Certificates and DNS

Expiry and resolution monitoring, because these cause outages that are entirely avoidable.

Alerts that route properly

Notifications reaching the team who can act, with escalation when nobody acknowledges.

How we work

  1. 01

    Map

Network paths, dependencies and the connectivity that genuinely matters to the business are identified.

  2. 02

    Instrument

Monitoring deployed for links, endpoints, DNS and certificates, with thresholds set from observed behaviour.

  3. 03

    Synthesise

Scripted checks for critical customer journeys, run continuously from relevant locations.

  4. 04

    Respond

Alert routing, escalation and runbooks agreed so an alert leads to action.

Common questions

Does cloud networking need monitoring? Is it not managed?

The provider’s components are managed; your configuration, VPN tunnels, routing and quotas are not. Those are where hybrid problems usually originate.

What is a synthetic check?

A scripted transaction run on a schedule — loading a page, logging in, calling an API — that detects failures before a customer reports them.

Can you monitor on-premises equipment too?

Yes, for the parts that connect to cloud services. Full network management of on-premises switching is usually better handled by your existing network provider.
